About the role

Asthe Aquatic and Recreation Centre Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the Inner West community. You’ll lead the safe, effective and customer-focused operation of of Council’s Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre & Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre, overseeing a diverse range of services including learn to swim, health and fitness, recreation, gym and community programs.

Working collaboratively as part of the Aquatic and Recreation leadership team, you’ll lead and develop your people while driving high-quality service delivery, sound financial and risk management,



and continuous improvement. You’ll help shape services that are inclusive, responsive and community-focused, while ensuring operations are well governed and aligned with Council values, relevant industry standards and best-practice frameworks.

Remuneration

$155,168.00 - $174,643.04 + 12% Superannuation + Access to Council's Leaseback Scheme

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in recreation or a related discipline and/ or equivalent industry experience
- Extensive experience in Aquatic and Recreations and health and fitness centres and the management of community programs, services and facilities, including strategy, policy and program development
- Extensive experience in leading engagement and facilitation to achieve set objectives and a commitment to community development principles
- Extensive experience in managing Aquatic and Recreations operations, associated asset, compliance, risk and safety management
- Specialist skills and experience in business planning and management, project management, contract management,



and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
