- Salary Range: $115,657 – $123,948 (Admin 7.1 to 7.4)

About the Role: Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Manager – Youth

The Youth SEWB Manager will lead and oversee the delivery of culturally appropriate and trauma informed SEWB Youth programs. This role involves managing a multi-disciplinary team to meet program deliverables cohesively and effectively. Programs are designed to support the psycho-social well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth, enhancing cultural competence and fostering a holistic approach to health that integrates cultural practices with evidence-based mental health strategies.

What You Need to Succeed

- This is an identified role for people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.

Qualifications in mental health, AOD, psychology, social work, or a related discipline.

- 2 years of experience in SEWB, mental health, AOD, psychology, social work, or a related discipline.
- Well-developed knowledge of leadership and team management skills, with experience in overseeing and mentoring staff.
- Knowledge of the social determinants of health (environment, economic, and social inequalities) that have a profound impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.




- Demonstrated ability to use culturally sensitive ways to ensure improved client access to DDHS and/or other health services.
- Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers.
- High level of personal resilience and flexibility with the ability to deal with challenging situations.
- Demonstrated computer skills, especially in the use of client information systems or similar.

- Willing to undergo a Police Check.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
- Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6 months of commencement.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) be submitted.
- Full rights to work in Australia.
