About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile and dedicated Legal Associate to join their general practice firm located in Queenstown . This role offers the chance to gain broad legal experience across various practice areas, including family law, civil litigation, and estate planning. You will work closely with senior partners, assisting in case preparation, client consultations, and legal research. This position is ideal for a developing legal professional looking to build a comprehensive skill set in a supportive and community-focused practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist attorneys in managing caseloads across diverse legal areas such as family law, civil litigation, and estate matters.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on various legal issues.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and wills.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and schedule appointments.
- Attend court proceedings and assist attorneys as required.




- Maintain client files and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

- Completed LLB degree and admission as an Attorney.
- 1-3 years of post-admission experience in a general practice setting is preferred.
- Solid understanding of various legal principles and procedures.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software.
