Role detailsThe Sarina Hospital is seeking applications for an Operational Officer to join their team on a casual basis.For information on how to apply and the mandatory requirements for this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.Your opportunityThis is a multi-skilled position, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support services for a patient centred health care setting including support in:CleaningLinen servicesFood services assistant (Kitchen Hand)Removal of wasteTransportation of patientsTransport and maintenance of equipment, and materials.This position will require the ability to achieve the required quality and safety standards that are set within the department initiative and sound judgement, exercise a degree of autonomy and to work with and provide support for supervisor operational service.About the TeamSarina Health Service consists of two facilities and provides a range of inpatient, emergency and outpatient health services to the Sarina community and surrounding areas. The facility at Brewers Road Sarina consists of a 19 bed inpatient ward providing general medical, acute and sub-acute care, rehabilitation, respite and palliative care services, and a 17 bed transition care inpatient ward. The facility also operates a 24-hour Emergency Department and provides a range of outpatient and visiting services,



including pathology collection, radiology, telehealth and allied health clinics. The facility at Hospital Street Sarina is currently under redevelopment, with an additional 17 bed inpatient ward to be opened in 2027. The two Sarina Health Service sites will expand inpatient capacity and support the continued growth and development of services delivered across the Sarina community.About our Hospital and Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,500 staff.
