Mechanic / Marine Mechanic / Deckhand Aspiring to be a Captain

Full-time Engineer / Maintenance / Mechanic position starting now and continuing into the summer charter season. You will be leading the maintenance team and training to become first mate with the opportunity to become the Vessel Master 24/MED2. This is a career and lifestyle opportunity that combines mechanical expertise with progression toward a Captain role on the company's biggest vessel.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the maintenance team
- Service, maintain and problem solve on diesel engines
- Maintain the boat and learn to operate it
- Be the face of the company to customers
- Act as an entertaining and gracious host
- Lead crew members
- Train team members
- Support client acquisition and retention
- Work 90% of weekends through summer

About you

- Mechanical background required (diesel, marine or vehicle)
- Solid mechanical experience in servicing, maintenance and problem solving on diesel engines




- Strong team work ability
- Great attitude
- Good with people
- Willingness to learn and work hard
- Aspirations to move beyond just a Deckhand and Engineer, attain Master 24/MED2 certification and more.
- Marine mechanic background or recreational boating experience with strong mechanical background suitable. Might also suit an apprentice wanting to move from trucks to boats.
