Responsibilities

- Assist in running the day-to-day kitchen duties.
- Prepare, season, and cook different foods as per the menu and customer orders.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc).
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
- Communicate orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.
- Receiving, storing, stock segregation, and keep records of foodstuffs used.
- Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Use methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing cooked food with utensil.
- Portion,



arrange and garnish food, and place in different platters.
- Assist in supervising and training junior cooks and other kitchen staff as required.

Qualifications & Experience

- Excellent English skills
- The right to work in Australia
- AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in related field
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience
- Team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in food safety
- Positive communication skills, energy, and attitude
