The opportunity

Working in a smaller practice offers the opportunity to engage in every aspect of architecture across a wide range of projects, providing valuable exposure and opportunities for professional growth.

You will work directly with the Director and our architectural team, with support and mentoring as you develop greater capability and responsibility.

Rather than being limited to a particular phase of project delivery, you will have the opportunity to gain experience across design, documentation, consultant coordination, client meetings, approvals, tender and construction.





Responsibility will grow with your experience and capability. We want you to become increasingly confident in progressing your own work and contributing to projects, while remaining comfortable seeking input and working collaboratively with the broader team.

Your work is likely to include:

- architectural design and design development
- preparation and coordination of documentation in Revit
- production of 3D models, renders and visualisations
- consultant coordination and resolution of technical matters
- participation in client and consultant meetings
- preparation of approvals, tender and construction documentation
- involvement in tendering and procurement
- site inspections and construction meetings as your experience develops
- assisting with RFIs, shop drawings and other construction-phase matters
- developing experience in contract administration and project delivery
- contributing to the systems, standards and ongoing development of the practice.

What we are looking for

You may be an Architectural Graduate working toward registration, or an experienced Architectural Technician looking to broaden your technical capability and involvement in project delivery.

We are looking for someone with a sound architectural or technical foundation who wants to continue developing professionally.

You should bring:

- a minimum of three years' experience working within an Australian architectural practice
- a recognised qualification in architecture, architectural technology, building design or a related discipline
- positive working knowledge of Revit
- sound architectural and construction documentation skills
- practical understanding of construction and detailing




- an ability to interpret and coordinate consultant information
- familiarity with Australian codes, standards and approval processes
- good written and verbal communication
- an organised approach to managing tasks and deliverables
- an ability to work independently while remaining comfortable seeking input when required.

For Architectural Graduates, a recognised degree in Architecture and an interest in progressing toward registration would be highly regarded.

Experience with AutoCAD, Twinmotion, Photoshop and InDesign would be advantageous.

Experience in health, education, commercial or government projects would also be well regarded, although we are equally interested in relevant experience gained in other sectors.

Working with Informed Architects

We believe one of the advantages of working within a smaller architectural practice is the ability to understand and participate in the complete process of delivering architecture.

You will not be restricted to one project phase or expected to remain behind the documentation. As your experience develops, you will have opportunities to understand the client's objectives, participate in the decisions that shape the project and see how those decisions are translated into built outcomes.

Our regional location also creates opportunities to work on projects and with communities that are quite different from those encountered in metropolitan practice.

You will work closely with experienced Architects and the Director, with mentoring and support provided as your capability and confidence develop.

For Architectural Graduates working toward registration, we will support your progression toward becoming a Registered Architect. For Architectural Technicians, there is equally an opportunity to develop greater technical, coordination and project delivery responsibility within the practice.
