About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Sound Designer to join their production team in Queenstown . You will be responsible for creating and implementing sound effects, music, and dialogue to enhance the overall audio experience of various media projects, including films, games, and interactive applications. This role requires a deep understanding of audio engineering, acoustics, and the creative use of sound to evoke emotion and atmosphere. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical skillset and a passion for crafting immersive audio landscapes that elevate the viewer's or player's experience, working closely with the production and creative departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, record, edit, and mix sound effects to create realistic or fantastical audio elements.
- Source and implement music and sound cues to complement the visual narrative and emotional tone of projects.
- Mix dialogue, sound effects, and music to create a balanced and immersive final audio track.
- Collaborate with directors, editors, and other creatives to achieve the desired soundscape.




- Ensure all audio elements meet technical specifications and quality standards for final delivery.
- Maintain an organized library of sound assets and project files.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Sound Designer or Audio Engineer with a strong portfolio of audio work.
- Proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or Cubase.
- Strong understanding of audio principles, acoustics, and mixing techniques.
- Experience with sound recording, editing, and Foley is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment in Queenstown .
