NV1 security Clearance required.

You’ll provide technical leadership across engineering design, integration, assurance and delivery of the enhanced capability.

The role n

n
- Lead HF system design analysis and performance evaluation.
n
- Review engineering drawings, schematics, technical documentation and contractor deliverables, providing clear advice to support implementation.
n
- Develop and maintain design reports, test procedures, technical assessments and the JP9101 engineering documentation suite.
n
- Support subsystem integration, verification, validation and troubleshooting against system requirements.
n
- Contribute technical advice to design reviews, working groups and engineering governance activities.
n
- Exercise authorised engineering delegation and maintain oversight of technical risks.
n
- Work across project disciplines, facilitate engineering workshops and ensure processes and documentation comply with the IC3SPO Quality Management System.

What you’ll bring nn
- Extensive HF engineering expertise across system design, analysis and performance evaluation.
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering,



or equivalent experience.
n
- Chartered Professional Engineer status with a recognised professional engineering body, such as Engineers Australia, or the ability to attain it .
n
- Knowledge of and experience with the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and the ASDEFCON suite.
n
- Leadership or management experience, including the ability to coach teams through strategy and change.
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Defence stakeholders, project teams and external vendors.
n

Experience delivering Defence or CASG capability projects will be highly regarded, as will knowledge of Defence policy and legislation, capability delivery requirements, and working in multidisciplinary technical teams.

n
