About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance department in Queenstown . This is a critical on-site leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning, reporting, and compliance. You will provide essential financial leadership and insights to drive the company's success. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced finance professional with a proven track record of managing complex financial functions and leading teams. This position requires strong leadership qualities and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including tax and financial regulations.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.




- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA(SA) or equivalent skilled qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting roles.
- Extensive knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS), corporate governance, and South African tax laws.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong leadership, team management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
