About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Telecoms Network Planner to contribute to their infrastructure development initiatives in Queenstown . This critical role involves the strategic planning and design of telecommunications networks to meet current and future demand, ensuring efficient resource allocation and service expansion. You will analyze network data, forecast growth, and develop comprehensive plans for network upgrades and new deployments. Key Responsibilities

- Develop long-term and short-term network expansion plans, including capacity planning and technology roadmap development.
- Analyze network performance data, traffic patterns, and customer growth trends to identify areas for improvement and future investment.
- Design network layouts and configurations for new site builds and upgrades, considering factors like coverage, capacity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, equipment specifications, and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations,



and finance teams to ensure alignment of network plans with business objectives and budgets.
- Evaluate new network technologies and propose their integration into the existing infrastructure to enhance performance and service offerings.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in telecom network planning or design.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in network performance analysis and capacity planning tools.
- Proficiency in CAD software and network design tools (e.g., Visio, AutoCAD) is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of wireless (4G/5G) and fixed-line network technologies , including fiber optics and transmission systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans.
