About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Process Safety Engineer for a fully remote position, supporting their operations across various global sites. This role is paramount in ensuring the highest standards of safety in all chemical processes and manufacturing environments. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust process safety management systems, conducting rigorous hazard analyses, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
- Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA studies.
- Review and approve Management of Change (MOC) proposals to ensure safety integrity.
- Investigate process safety incidents and near-misses, providing root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with global safety standards, regulations, and company policies.




- Develop and deliver process safety training to relevant personnel across different locations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with a strong safety specialization.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process safety engineering within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of PSM elements and PHA methodologies.
- Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and risk assessment techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote teams across different time zones.
