About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Architectural Technologist to join their established practice in Queenstown . This role is crucial for translating architectural concepts into detailed, buildable technical documentation. You will lead the technical aspects of projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and constructability. Working closely with architects and contractors, you will be instrumental in bringing designs to life. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to significant projects within the Eastern Cape and to mentor junior team members, upholding the firm's reputation for quality and precision in architectural delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and construction details using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ensure designs adhere to all applicable building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and other specialists to integrate their work into the architectural design.




- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with technical documentation.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, including shop drawings and material samples.

Requirements

- Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with strong knowledge of BIM principles.
- In-depth understanding of building construction methods, materials, and South African National Building Regulations.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
