About the role Sushi Edo is looking for experienced and enthusiastic Cooks to join our kitchen team at our Cannon Hill restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about creating delicious food and delivering memorable dining experiences for customers. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of high-quality Japanese dishes while maintaining excellent standards of food presentation, freshness, and kitchen hygiene.

You will work closely with our team in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficient kitchen operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from our menu (sushi and a la carte)
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, freshness and presentation
- Adhere to food safety and health regulations
- Maintain a clean,



safe and organised kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Provide guidance and support to other kitchen staff
- Assist the chef with menu planning and development as required

What we're looking for

- Ability to work on weekends
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience working as a Cook in a busy commercial restaurant or similar food service workplace
- Good food preparation and cooking skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety and health regulations
- Ability to multitask and work effectively and efficiently under pressure
- Good time management and communication skills
- Passion for good food
