Are you an experienced Medical Receptionist looking to join a professional specialist surgical practice?

Silver Search Recruitment is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join a well-established surgical practice in Hurstville. Working closely with the Practice Manager and surgeon, you will play an important role in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and ensuring patients receive a warm, professional and seamless experience.

The Role

- Provide friendly and professional reception and patient support
- Manage incoming calls, enquiries, emails and patient correspondence
- Schedule appointments and manage the doctor's diary
- Coordinate patient bookings and follow-ups
- Process patient billing, payments and receipting
- Prepare and manage patient documentation
- Liaise with hospitals, medical specialists and other healthcare providers
- Assist with theatre and procedure bookings
- Provide administrative support to the Practice Manager
- Assist with the day-to-day administration and organisation of the practice
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure information is kept up to date
- Support the Practice Manager with general office administration and practice operations

About You
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist within a specialist or private practice




- Surgical practice experience would be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of medical administration and patient billing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing a busy workload and competing priorities
- Professional, warm and compassionate manner
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
- Experience with Genie or other medical practice software advantageous
