Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking Locum Paediatrics Doctors for flexible paediatric and neonatal cover in a supportive hospital setting close to Sydney.

With ad-hoc and block shifts available, you can choose options that suit your availability while still gaining valuable paediatric and neonatal experience.
This role is suitable for experienced SRMOs, Registrars and CMOs with previous paediatrics or neonatal experience.

Clinical Workplace

You will provide Paediatrics cover within Nepean Blue Mountains LHD.

- Flexible locum structure – choose from ad-hoc or block shifts depending on your availability
- Supportive team – work within a consultant-led service with approachable senior support
- Paediatric and neonatal exposure – support inpatient, SCN and emergency paediatric presentations
- Hands-on experience – attend deliveries and assist with neonatal resus where required
- Career development – suitable for doctors working toward paediatrics, ED or neonatal pathways

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad paediatric and neonatal patient mix, including neonates, infants, children and adolescents requiring inpatient review, emergency assessment, Special Care Nursery support, delivery attendance, neonatal resuscitation or escalation of care.

Key Duties

- Provide Paediatrics locum cover across rostered shifts




- Review and manage paediatric inpatients and acute presentations
- Support Special Care Nursery and neonatal presentations as required
- Attend deliveries and assist with neonatal resuscitation where needed
- Complete clinical documentation, handover and management plans
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health teams

Requirements

- Current AHPRA General Registration
- PGY4+ with previous Paediatrics or Neonatal experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete local credentialing and onboarding
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
