Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking experienced GP VMOs and CMOs to provide Emergency Department cover across rural and regional hospitals.
This role is ideal for doctors confident in rural emergency care who want strong earning potential, flexible shifts and full locum support.
You will be the senior decision-maker onsite, managing emergency presentations, stabilising patients and escalating for retrieval or admission when required.
Clinical Setting
- Rural and regional ED cover
- Broad caseload including trauma, acute medical and paediatric presentations
- Work with experienced nursing teams
- Access to telehealth, specialist advice and retrieval services
- Clinical autonomy with escalation support available
Requirements
- General or Specialist AHPRA Registration
- Rural ED, GP VMO or CMO experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete HNELHD credentialing
