About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Salon Senior Stylist to join our team at Ampersand Salon in Manly on a full-time basis however, flexible for hours and possibly part time. This is a growing position within our salon that combines advanced styling expertise with mentoring responsibilities. As a Senior Stylist, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality hair services whilst supporting and developing within the team. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring our clients receive outstanding service every visit.

Key responsibilities

- Provide expert hair styling, cutting, colouring and treatment services to a diverse clientele, maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and professionalism

- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service delivery

- Contribute to the development and implementation of salon protocols, standards and best practices

- Stay current with industry trends, techniques and products, and share knowledge with the team through training and demonstrations

- Maintain a clean, hygienic and welcoming salon environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

- Manage your client schedule efficiently and meet salon targets for revenue and client retention

- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support of new team members as required





- Represent the salon professionally and positively in all client interactions and community engagement

What we're looking for

- Minimum 1+ years professional experience as a qualified hair stylist, demonstrating expertise across a range of services including cutting, colouring, styling and treatments

- Current, valid hairdressing qualification

- Proven track record of building strong client relationships and maintaining a loyal salon environment

- Robust communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to client needs and deliver tailored solutions

- A passion for creativity, continuous learning and maintaining the highest standards of service

- Qualified presentation and a genuine commitment to client care and salon reputation
