4th Year Apprentice or Qualified Cert III Technician Bass Coast Tyre & Automotive | Grantville, VIC | Full Time

Want to enjoy being a mechanic again? Bass Coast Tyre & Automotive is growing, and we’re looking for a 4th Year Apprentice or qualified Cert III Automotive Technician to join our team.

We’re a local automotive workshop based in Grantville, servicing the Bass Coast community. We work across all makes and models and provide everything from logbook servicing and general maintenance through to diagnostics, brakes, suspension, tyres, and mechanical repairs. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and wants to become part of a workshop where quality workmanship, honesty and looking after our customers actually matter.

What you can expect: A friendly, down-to-earth workshop setting Monday to Friday work – 8:00am to 4:30pm

Most importantly, we want someone who enjoys coming to work and takes pride in sending customers back onto the road safely. What you'll do No two days in our workshop are exactly the same.

Depending on your experience, you’ll work across: Logbook servicing and general vehicle maintenance Mechanical repairs across all makes and models

Engine diagnostics and fault finding Brake repairs and replacement Suspension and steering repairs

Clutch, transmission and drivetrain work Cooling system repairs and maintenance Battery, starter motor and alternator diagnosis

Electrical and sensor fault finding Tyre fitting, repairs, balancing and related services Vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance

Identifying additional repairs or safety concerns Keeping accurate job information Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop

You’ll take ownership of your work and help us deliver the honest, reliable service our local customers expect. What we're looking for - You must be either: A 4th

Year Automotive Apprentice, or Cert III qualified in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology / Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent We’re also looking for someone who:





Has a current Australian driver's licence Has solid mechanical knowledge and practical skills appropriate to their experience Can diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts

Takes pride in doing the job properly Works safely and looks after tools, equipment and customer vehicles Can work independently while still being part of a team

Communicates well with colleagues and customers Is reliable and turns up ready and fit for work Has a positive attitude and is willing to keep learning

You don't need to know absolutely everything. We'd rather have someone with the right attitude, strong mechanical foundations and a willingness to learn than someone who thinks they already know it all. About Bass Coast Tyre & Automotive

Based at Grantville Drive, Grantville, Bass Coast Tyre & Automotive provides mechanical, diagnostic, tyre and vehicle maintenance services for customers throughout the Bass Coast. Our workshop services all makes and models, with services ranging from routine maintenance and logbook servicing through to minor/major repairs, diagnostics, brakes, suspension, tyres and more.
