We are currently seeking applications for a Business Process Analyst/Technical Writer to join the Payroll Reform Team with Department of Treasury & Finance.

Shared Services SA (SSSA) deliver essential business and finance services across areas of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, tax and financial accounting, and business systems which enable government agencies to focus on serving the community. SSSA support daily operations to driving innovation, your work at Shared Services SA powers the public sector behind the scenes.

Why This Role Matters

As a Business Process Analyst/Technical Writer, you will help shape and support payroll system improvements that impact government agencies across South Australia. Your work will ensure staff have access to accurate information,



effective training resources and streamlined business processes that strengthen service delivery and support better outcomes for the South Australian community.

What you will do:

- Develop business process documentation, procedures and reference guides.
- Support payroll reform through training and change management activities.
- Analyse data and identify opportunities to improve processes and data integrity.
- Contribute to the testing and implementation of CHRIS21 and HR21 enhancements.
- Recommend process improvements while maintaining compliance and system controls.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Remuneration

ASO5 ($92,122 - $102,456 p.a.) + 12% Superannuation

What you bring

- Experience working with payroll processes in a complex environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate, diagnose and resolve issues.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- High-level written communication skills and experience developing business documentation.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and deliver quality outcomes.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and service excellence.
