About the role

Princi Butchers Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent chance to work in a dynamic butchery environment located in Bicton, WA 6157. As a Butcher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meat products and exceptional customer service to our valued clients. Your expertise in meat preparation, cutting, and handling will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the local community.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing, trimming, and butchering meat to precise specifications and customer requirements

- Operating specialised butchery equipment and tools safely and effectively

- Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with health and safety regulations

- Displaying and presenting meat products attractively in the retail counter

- Providing expert advice to customers regarding meat cuts, quality, and cooking recommendations

- Receiving and inspecting incoming meat supplies for quality assurance

- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including proper storage and waste management

- Packing and labelling meat products accurately with pricing and product information

- Assisting with stock rotation and inventory management

- Contributing to the overall smooth operation of the butchery department

What we're looking for

- A recognised butchery qualification or substantial experience working as a qualified butcher

- Demonstrated expertise in meat cutting, preparation, and handling techniques

- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles





- Ability to operate butchery equipment safely and competently

- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour

- Robust attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality

- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items

- Reliability and flexibility to work casual shifts as required

- A genuine passion for quality meat products and the butchery trade

- Previous retail or customer-facing experience is desirable
