About the role

Princi Butchers Pty Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our team in Bicton, WA. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our kitchen, supporting our culinary team in delivering quality food preparation and service to our customers. This position is essential to ensuring our kitchen operates at its best and maintains the high standards Princi Butchers is known for.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and organising ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling and chopping vegetables and other food items

- Assisting with the preparation of meals and food items under the guidance of kitchen staff

- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils and equipment

- Operating and cleaning kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations

- Disposing of waste materials and maintaining a tidy, organised kitchen workspace

- Assisting with food storage and inventory management as required

- Following all food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with health standards

- Supporting the kitchen team with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations

What we're looking for

- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced kitchen environment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

- Physical capability to lift,



carry and stand for extended periods

- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced kitchen staff

- Basic numeracy and literacy skills

- Food handling qualifications or willingness to obtain them (desirable)

- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)

- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards teamwork

- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
