Australian Professional Galvanizing (APG) is a family owned business with more than 55 years’ experience in galvanising and steel manufacturing. We’re looking for a reliable HC or MC driver to join our team at our Stuart plant in Townsville.
This is a casual position offering up to 37.5 hours per week, with overtime opportunities. You’ll undertake local deliveries and regional runs between Townsville, Cairns and Mackay, returning to Townsville each night.
What you’ll do
- Transport steel products safely to customers and APG facilities.
- Load and unload trucks, and secure loads for transport.
- Check loads, vehicles and delivery paperwork.
- Work with our production and logistics teams to keep deliveries on schedule.
What you’ll bring
- A current HC or MC driver licence and relevant driving experience.
- Sound knowledge of safe loading,
unloading and load restraint.
- A robust focus on safety, reliability and customer service.
- The ability to recognise common steel sections, or willingness to learn.
- An LF forklift licence is desirable.

- Permanent or Casual hourly pay under the applicable Manufacturing Award classification, including casual loading if applicable, and applicable penalty and overtime rates.
