We're growing our residential and commercial work and are looking for a Sales Estimator who wants to own the whole job, from the first phone call to the final gate hanging.

OUR PREREQUISITES

You want the whole role, not a slice of it.
This isn't a desk-based estimating job and it isn't a "sell it and hand it off" sales job. You'll take the enquiry, meet the customer on site, sell the solution, measure and estimate it, write the quote, and then run the job through to completion. If you like seeing your work go from a conversation to a finished fence, you'll love this.

You sell on value.

You focus on value rather than just competing on price. You bring hands-on sales experience and take a consultative approach. Asking thoughtful questions, listening carefully, and guiding customers toward the best fencing solution for their needs. You feel confident in your quotes because you understand the quality and work behind them.

You know how things go together.
You have a construction background, ideally in fencing, landscaping, or a related trade. You can walk a site, picture the finished job, and spot the problems (slope, access, services). Your estimates are accurate because you understand the build.

You're organised and you follow through.
You'll be juggling site visits, open quotes and live jobs at the same time. You keep on top of your pipeline, return quotes on time, follow up without being chased, and communicate early when something changes.

You're a team player with integrity.
You'll work closely with our installers, subcontractors, admin team and Directors. You do the right thing by the customer and the business, and when something comes up,



you bring a solution, not just the problem.

THE BUSINESS

THE ROLE

As our Sales Estimator, you'll be the face of Fencescape to current customers and the person responsible for turning enquiries into profitable, well-run jobs. You'll work across both residential and commercial projects, with scope to grow into larger commercial and tender work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to new enquiries promptly and book site visits on the first call.

- Attend site visits, understand the customer's needs and recommend the right fencing solution.

- Measure, estimate and take off materials and labour accurately, on site and from plans.

- Prepare and send professional quotes within 48 hours of the site visit.

- Follow up every open quote and keep your pipeline and won/lost records up to date.

- Protect margin by pricing on value and keeping estimates accurate to actual cost.

- Once a job is won, order materials, schedule installers and subcontractors, and keep the customer informed.

- Manage jobs on site, handle variations, solve construction issues and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

- Build referral relationships.

- Report weekly on your pipeline, conversions and gross profit.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Proven sales experience, ideally in consultative or high-value sales.





- Construction experience and a solid understanding of how structures are built.

- Estimating or quoting experience is highly regarded.

- Fencing industry experience is a strong advantage.

- Commercial experience, including reading site plans and tendering, is a bonus.

- Current QLD driver's licence.

- Current Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain one).

- Confident with computers, emails, experience with quoting or estimating software is an advantage.
