Three years ago, we took over one of Sydney's most unique sporting and community facilities and transformed its operations. Now we're ready for the next chapter. We're looking for the right person (or couple) to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and growth of our multi-sport facility to continue to build it into one of the Northern Beaches' most active sporting hubs.

You'll have the freedom to lead, full authority to make decisions, and the opportunity to grow participation across multiple activities. You will have the ability to hire, train and build your own team—and you'll share directly in the success you create.

Unlike most sporting management roles, you won't inherit an empty facility with no support. We've already invested years creating your launching pad. You'll walk into:

- An established multi-sport facility and contemporary gym.

- Reception, member management, and fully integrated online booking systems.

- Marketing support: Proven systems, social media, graphic design, and email marketing.

- Operational backbone: Accounting, payroll, HR support, AI marketing tools, long-standing suppliers, and proven operating procedures.

About the Venue

Elanora Squash & Fitness Centre is one of Sydney's most unique community sporting facilities, located on the Northern Beaches and home to a growing community of members, families, schools and sporting groups.

The facility has been operating since 1979 and has undergone significant investment and transformation over the past three years. Today, it's a thriving multi-sport hub with consistent foot traffic, loyal members and a strong foundation. We currently have around 200 gym members and 200 squash members, with more than 3,500 facility visits every month.

Beyond regular memberships, the facility hosts competitions, coaching programs, school holiday camps, birthday parties, sporting presentations, social events and community activities throughout the year. Open seven days a week, the facility includes:

- Six international calibre squash courts (The 3rd largest squash facility in NSW).

- Modern gym and fitness facilities.

- Multi-sport courts supporting Pickleball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, and Basketball.

- Reception, member services, and dedicated spaces for coaching, events and community programs.

- Junior development programs, school holiday camps, and birthday parties.

- Sporting competitions, social leagues, and high-performance coaching through The East Coast Squash Academy.

- A fully licensed café, bar and restaurant operating 7 days a week within the facility.

- Ample onsite parking and a long-term lease.

Your Mission

Turn a great sporting facility into an exceptional sporting community. We already have members, facilities,



and systems. Now we need someone who can dramatically improve the member experience while growing participation across every area of the business.

The owner of the facility is a former Professional Athlete who achieved a top 100 world ranking for more than a decade and 5 years in the top 50. The Mindset Of A Champion is the Growth Mindset that will support and mentor you in this once-in-a-career opportunity.

To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate the skills to:

- Grow gym and non-squash memberships.

- Increase court utilisation during off-peak days and times.

- Expand all non-squash programs, launching new competitions and leagues.

- Grow after-school activities, programs, school partnerships, and holiday camps.

- Expand kids' birthday parties and introduce corporate team-building events.

- Create unforgettable community events.

- Grow group fitness, yoga and other class participation.

- Recruit and develop coaches for non-squash sports.

- Provide more pro shop options to meet expanding member needs.

- Continue to build an outstanding customer experience with a focus on inclusivity.

You Won't Be Micromanaged

You'll have genuine autonomy and independence to recruit, train and lead your own team, build corporate partnerships, develop community connections, organise tournaments, and introduce recent ideas or marketing campaigns. We need someone who takes ownership with authority and the leadership skills to make it their own—with senior management accountability and full transparency.

You will manage your P&Ls; on a monthly basis for each of your profit centres. Your profit-sharing will be a generous and transparent 50% of Gross Profit with everything under your direct control. No surprise 'inter-company charges or fees', and no upside limits to how much you can earn. We expect your decisions to be commercially sound, customer-focused and aligned with our shared vision.

You'll have access to ongoing administrative support, and exposure to advanced Deliberate Practice Principles and Exponential Mindset Business Mentoring. We'll continue investing in the facility, systems, technology, and marketing while you focus on creating an outstanding sporting experience.

What Success Looks Like

Success isn't measured by hours worked; it's measured by results. Imagine walking into the club on a Wednesday afternoon:

- Every court is buzzing with activity.

- Kids are flowing in for after-school programs into elite coaching sessions.

- Parents are staying for coffee, dinner or a workout while their children play.

- Holiday camps have waiting lists and corporate events are booked months in advance.

- Members greet each other by nickname and new members join because existing members can't stop raving about the club's vibe.

As participation grows, your rewards grow. High-performing operators can expect On Target Earnings (OTE) to be well in excess of $150,000 annually, with significantly greater upside as the business continues to grow. The more you grow it, the more you make.

Who We're Looking For

To be fully transparent, this is our second hiring campaign for this role. We have the luxury of time and are not willing to compromise. Our first campaign was unsuccessful in part because we were not clear enough about the entrepreneurial aspect of this role.

Simply put, this role is like stepping into your own business WITHOUT the upfront $50,000–$100,000 Franchise Fee, $250,000–$500,000 fitout expense, and empty space. This role requires zero upfront investment, zero capital risk, and no personal guarantees and comes with a guaranteed base wage to be negotiated based on your skills and experience.

You need to have 5-10 years' experience building, operating or growing community-based sporting, recreation or fitness businesses. You may have worked in multi-sport centres, racquet clubs, leisure centres, fitness clubs, sporting associations, coaching businesses, or holiday program providers.

We're looking for someone who:

- Leads from the front and loves being on the floor rather than behind a desk.

- Can leverage Personal Training, Yoga,



Pilates or other certification to further boost their income.

- Is familiar with Mindbody, Timely and/or Gym Master bookings systems.

- Agile with DIY websites and social media marketing.

- Builds genuine relationships with members and enjoys mentoring staff.

- Thinks commercially, sees opportunities everywhere, and takes ownership.

You don't need to know every sport, but you must think like an owner and know how to build a profitable business.

Aaron Frankcomb, former World #38 Professional Squash Player, will remain the club’s squash pro and High Performance Coach with The East Coast Squash Academy that operates across the Greater Sydney area. We’re looking for someone to lead all non-squash-related sports and activities.
