Coordinator - Volunteers Service

• Ongoing, full-time role – 80 hours per fortnight with a monthly ADO

• Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available

• Up to $85,597 (prorated for part time) + salary packaging + super + five weeks annual leave

About the team

Volunteer Services plays an important role in enhancing the experience of patients, families and carers across Peter Mac. The team works closely with volunteers, staff and community partners to create meaningful opportunities for people to contribute to the care environment while supporting the organisation's commitment to person-centred care, inclusion and community engagement.

About the role

The Coordinator, Volunteer Services plays a key role in supporting and developing Peter Mac’s volunteer program. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, recruit, onboard and support volunteers, and contribute to the development of new volunteering opportunities and program improvements. Working with staff, volunteers and community partners, you will help build an inclusive and diverse volunteer program that enhances the experience of patients, families and carers.

A regular day will see you:

• Coordinating volunteer engagement activities, including recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing support.

• Building strong relationships with volunteers, staff and community stakeholders to support service delivery and program outcomes.

• Contributing to program improvement initiatives, new volunteering opportunities and service development projects.

• Monitoring volunteer program activities, maintaining records and supporting reporting, compliance and evaluation requirements.

You are a highly organised and people-focused professional who enjoys building relationships,



supporting others and creating positive experiences. You bring a collaborative approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to balance competing priorities while working in a dynamic environment.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience working with, supporting and engaging volunteers, with a sound understanding of volunteer principles and the volunteer experience.

• Demonstrated coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage day-to-day activities, competing priorities and changing demands.

• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage respectfully and effectively with volunteers, patients, families, staff and community stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently, taking ownership of responsibilities and delivering outcomes.

• Well-developed problem-solving skills, with the ability to use initiative and adapt to changing priorities and environments.

• Experience facilitating training, presentations or information sessions for individuals and groups.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
