With a significant pipeline of aviation projects ahead, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of major airport equipment and infrastructure projects.

About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on project delivery role with genuine ownership of complex, multi-million-dollar projects.

Your initial focus will be a project currently underway at Sydney Airport, with equipment beginning to arrive. Beyond this, Freightquip has a strong pipeline of aviation projects, including further works at in Sydney and Brisbane

As our project portfolio develops, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently and working closely with airport customers, OEMs, contractors, suppliers and Freightquip's internal technical teams.

The role will be Sydney based. Interstate travel will initially be infrequent while the Sydney Airport project remains the primary focus, with increased travel expected as future projects commence.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage major aviation projects from planning and mobilisation through installation, commissioning, handover and close-out.

- Take ownership of project programs,



schedules, resources, budgets and key milestones.

- Coordinate OEMs, contractors, suppliers and internal technical teams.

- Build strong relationships with airport customers and key project stakeholders.

- Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, testing and commissioning activities.

- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, delays, variations and dependencies.

- Take commercial ownership of relevant project elements including costs, procurement and variations.

- Ensure project documentation, approvals and handover requirements are completed.

- Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure projects are delivered safely and in accordance with contractual, customer, quality and OEM requirements.

- Support planning and mobilisation for future projects.

- Manage multiple projects concurrently as Freightquip's project portfolio grows.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has successfully delivered complex, multi-million-dollar technical, infrastructure or installation projects.

You don't necessarily need to come from aviation. Relevant backgrounds could include:





- Aviation or airport infrastructure

- Major infrastructure projects

- Electrical or mechanical projects

- Industrial equipment installation

- Commercial construction

- Civil infrastructure

- Rail equipment or infrastructure

- Automation or systems installation

You will ideally bring strong experience across project planning, contractor management, budgets, variations, risk, procurement and stakeholder management.

You'll be comfortable operating in a hands-on delivery environment, working with technical teams and taking responsibility for resolving issues and keeping projects moving.

Experience managing projects in live operational or safety-critical environments will be highly regarded, as will qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
