Adamstown OOSH is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Service Coordinator / Nominated Supervisor to lead our established, community-focused OOSH service. With a team of dedicated educators, a strong connection with local families and the support of a volunteer parent Management Committee, this is your opportunity to put your leadership, ideas and passion for children into action.

About the role

As Service Coordinator / Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management and operation of the service, working within the governance and delegated authority of the Volunteer Management Committee. You will lead a team of educators while ensuring the service operates safely, effectively and in accordance with the National Quality Framework, relevant legislation, service policies and the requirements of the Approved Provider. The role combines leadership, administration and direct engagement with children and educators, with dedicated time for the operational and administrative responsibilities of the position.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operation of the OOSH service

- Provide strong leadership, guidance and support to educators

- Ensure appropriate staffing, ratios, supervision and responsible-person arrangements

- Oversee the delivery of a high-quality educational program in line with My Time, Our Place

- Promote a strong culture of child safety, inclusion and wellbeing

- Support staff performance, professional development and team culture

- Manage enrolments, attendance, Xplor administration, records and other service systems

- Support financial administration, invoicing and reporting to the Management Committee

- Manage incidents and compliance requirements

- Build positive relationships with children, families, schools and the wider community

About you

- Experienced in a leadership role within OOSH,



early childhood or a related education and care setting

- Passionate about providing high-quality experiences for school-aged children

- Confident leading and supporting a team

- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities

- An effective communicator who can build positive relationships with children, families, educators and the Management Committee

- Committed to child safety, inclusion and continuous improvement

- Knowledgeable about the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and My Time, Our Place

- Familiar with NSW child protection legislation and mandatory reporting requirements

- Comfortable with administration, compliance and financial processes

- Able to work collaboratively within a community-based, not-for-profit environment

Essential requirements

- Current NSW Working with Children Check

- Bachelor of Primary/Early Education or Certificate IV/ Diploma in Children's Services/ Diploma in OSHC, or currently working towards

- At least 1 year's experience in working with children aged 5-12 years

- Current approved First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management training

- Current NSW and National Child Protection/Child Safety training

- A sound understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting obligations

- Knowledge of Xplor, Playground, Deputy and Office software platforms, or willingness to learn

- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place and National Legislation and Regulations

Adamstown OOSH is a not-for-profit service operated by a volunteer parent Management Committee, with a strong focus on providing high-quality care and creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for children and families. The service is approved to care for up to 150 children and provides Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care. We are a community-run, not-for-profit service with a volunteer parent committee that is genuinely invested in providing quality care for local children and families.
