Based at our Murray Bridge manufacturing facility, we are seeking a Junior Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer looking to build practical engineering experience across product design, manufacturing, testing and project delivery.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work across the full engineering lifecycle, from concept development and detailed design through to testing, production support, installation and commissioning. You will receive guidance and mentoring while progressively taking greater ownership of engineering projects and technical outcomes as your experience develops.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

- Assist with mechanical and mechatronic product design and development using 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks

- Prepare and update 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings and bills of materials

- Support product testing, prototyping, validation and continuous improvement activities





- Provide technical support to Production and assist with troubleshooting manufacturing, equipment and assembly issues

- Assist in improving manufacturing processes, tooling, jigs, fixtures and production equipment

- Support new product development and introduction into production

- Prepare and maintain technical specifications, test records, risk assessments and engineering documentation

- Assist with engineering change control and product compliance requirements

- Work with Production, Procurement, Quality and suppliers to resolve technical issues

- Support project planning, coordination, installation and commissioning activities.

Experience & Skills:

- Graduate to approximately 2–3 years' relevant engineering experience

- Experience with 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks preferred; Inventor, NX or similar experience also considered

- Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings, models and technical specifications

- Understanding of mechanical design and Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles

- Exposure to manufacturing processes such as plastics, aluminium extrusion, sheet metal, roll forming or mechanical fabrication would be advantageous

- Practical troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills

- Strong planning, organisation and communication skills

- Exposure to engineering standards, product testing, ERP, PDM or PLM systems would be advantageous.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline

- Current driver's licence

- Willingness to travel within Australia and overseas where required

- Based in, or willing to work from, Murray Bridge.
