About the role

Transport Australia is looking for an organised, proactive and relationship-focused Event Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month contract. Working closely with our Events Manager and broader team, you'll help deliver engaging face-to-face and hybrid events for our members, partners and industry stakeholders. From coordinating speakers and venues to marketing campaigns and onsite delivery, this is a hands-on role where you'll be involved across the full event lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of events
- Manage event logistics, timelines, suppliers, speakers, sponsors and venues
- Develop event marketing materials, EDMs, social content and promotional campaigns
- Monitor attendance, ticket sales, budgets and event performance
- Prepare event plans, running sheets, briefs, risk assessments and other event documentation
- Provide professional onsite event coordination
- Build strong relationships with members, sponsors, attendees and industry stakeholders
- Work closely with our Membership and broader teams to continuously improve the event experience

About you





- At least 3 years' experience in event coordination
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach
- Experience with CRM, event, marketing or project management platforms
- The ability to work autonomously while being a collaborative team player
- Flexibility to travel interstate and work occasional evenings for events
- Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud/Pardot, Humanitix, Asana or Canva would be an advantage
