Responsibilities including:

(Working within the metropolitan area of Adelaide SA)

- Diagnosing, servicing and repairing diesel engines across heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, tractors and related equipment
- Performing advanced fault finding across electrical and hydraulic systems, with a strong focus on accurate diagnostics and efficient repair
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs in both workshop and field environments
- Interpreting technical manuals and utilising diagnostic tools to identify and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components
- Working on hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves, and electrical systems including wiring, sensors and control modules
- Supporting the integration and maintenance of newer, technology-driven equipment




- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, in line with safety and compliance requirements
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to prioritise workloads and minimise downtime
- Maintaining accurate service records and reporting on equipment performance

Must haves:

1. Must hold an Australian recognised qualification such as Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic/Technology, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or similar
2. Must be capable of troubleshooting faults, managing workloads and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
3. Professional Communication & Customer-Facing Ability/Robust communication skills are essential, particularly for Field Service interacting directly with customers, supervisors and internal service teams.
4. Proven capability in electrical and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs. You'll be confident troubleshooting complex faults, working both independently and within a team, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
5. Recognised Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology/Heavy Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mobile Plant Technology)
