As a key member of the team, you will lead the development, enhancement and support of the whole-of-government AI platform and web applications, and contribute to innovative AI products and solutions that improve digital customer services for government agencies. You will work in a newly created team at the forefront of AI in the public sector, using emerging LLMOps toolkits and technologies to support the delivery of secure, high-quality and contemporary digital products and services.

Role responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance and support the whole-of-government AI platform and associated web applications.
- Design and deliver innovative AI applications and products for the Queensland Government.
- Collaborate with team members using Agile methodologies to create current features and improve digital customer services for agencies.
- Contribute to a cooperative, product-focused team culture that supports continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure operations, processes and practices comply with relevant legislation, standards and government requirements.
- Apply contemporary development practices across cloud, integration and AI-enabled environments to deliver secure, scalable and reliable solutions.





Skills and experience:
- Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript for scalable web application development.
- Strong experience in Node.js and server-side integration with Azure services.
- Demonstrated experience with Cosmos DB, including data modelling and query optimisation.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development, including automated testing and deployment.
- Experience with Azure AI services, Azure Search and ideally OpenAI or other large language model technologies.
- Strong capability in infrastructure as code using Bicep and in Azure API Management.
- Strong technical knowledge across enterprise security, .NET technologies, integration standards and test automation practices.

Role requirements
- Nil mandatory qualifications and/or conditions are required
- Significant experience in up-to-date application development, Azure cloud services and AI-enabled solution delivery would be highly desirable.
- This role may require on-call duties and after-hours work during support periods and key project stages.
