The Opportunity

Support the delivery of safe, efficient, and well-maintained school facilities across our campuses. As Assistant Property Manager, you'll play a key role in compliance, operations, and the ongoing enhancement of our digital property management systems.

The Role

A new exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and proactive Assistant Property Manager to commence in 2027 in support the operation, maintenance, safety, and compliance of the School's facilities across multiple campuses. Working closely with the Property Manager, you will help ensure our buildings, grounds, and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently while driving continuous improvement through digital maintenance and property management systems. This hands-on role combines property operations, contractor management, compliance oversight, project coordination, and technology-led facility management.

Some duties you will be involved with but not limited to include:

- Coordinate the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and upkeep of school buildings, grounds, and facilities.

- Manage preventative maintenance programs and oversee repairs, contractor works, and minor capital projects.

- Ensure compliance with building, safety, OH&S;, and regulatory requirements across all campuses.

- Support emergency management, security systems, risk mitigation,



and workplace safety initiatives.

- Conduct facility inspections and maintain accurate maintenance, compliance, and safety documentation.

- Manage contractor engagement, induction, and compliance processes.

- Oversee and enhance property management systems, including maintenance, asset management, contractor, and sustainability platforms.

- Monitor building performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

- Assist with property budget preparation, reporting, and financial monitoring.

- Support school events and ensure facilities are appropriately prepared and operational.

- Provide leadership and operational support across school campuses, including sporting facilities and campsites.

- Act as the Property Manager during periods of leave and absence.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on facilities professional with experience in property, maintenance, or building operations. You will bring strong knowledge of workplace safety, compliance, contractor management, and preventative maintenance, along with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, technology-savvy, and capable of building positive relationships across the school community. Experience with maintenance management systems or building management software, combined with a commitment to safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement, will be highly regarded.

You will have:

- Experience in facilities,



property, or maintenance management.

- Knowledge of OH&S;, compliance, and contractor management.

- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with maintenance, asset, or building management systems.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.

- A positive, reliable, and professional approach aligned with the School's values.

- A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
