About the role

In this full time role, you will play a key part in our construction operations, preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates across a diverse range of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to contribute to a growing company and take ownership of our tendering being involved right from the beginning of the project.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment requirements

- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify all cost components

- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information

- Participate in the bidding and tendering process, ensuring that our proposals are competitive and profitable

- Continuously research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in material and labour costs





- Provide support and guidance to the project team throughout the construction process

- Submit tenders up to $20M

- Review and analyse subcontractor quotations

- Contribute to methodology, risk reviews and value engineering

- Following up tenders, negotiating outcomes and building relationships with clients, consultants and trades

About you

- Extensive experience (3+ years) as an Estimator in the construction industry

- Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation principles

- Proficiency in using construction estimating software and spreadsheet applications

- Strong attention to detail and commercially minded and well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and the project team

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is desired

- Experience using CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam and similar

- Sound fit-out, refurbishment and New Build industry knowledge working for the Head Contractor

- Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team

- White Card and full driver’s licence
