We’re looking for experienced VET Teachers – Electrical to join our Trades, Engineering and Technology team and bring their industry expertise into the classroom.

About the Role
As a VET Teacher, you’ll combine your electrical industry experience with your passion for teaching to deliver engaging, practical and industry-informed learning experiences.

You’ll plan, deliver and assess high-quality training across a range of delivery modes, working collaboratively with education professionals to support students to achieve their qualifications and prepare for successful careers.

Teaching will primarily focus on units within the UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and UEE22020 Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) training packages.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to Fee-for-Service training, where your experience and specialist expertise align with client needs.

About You
You’re an experienced electrical professional and passionate educator who enjoys sharing your knowledge and helping others succeed. You bring current industry practice into your teaching, build positive relationships with students and colleagues, and are committed to creating safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments.

To be successful, you'll demonstrate:

- The ability to design and deliver innovative, high-quality teaching and learning programs across a variety of delivery modes, using contemporary teaching practices and technologies.
- A commitment to creating inclusive, supportive and safe learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of students and clients.
- Experience developing and continuously improving teaching, learning and assessment resources that meet quality and compliance requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, contribute ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- A proactive approach to your own professional development, maintaining contemporary VET practice and current knowledge of the electrical industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,



along with a genuine commitment to student success, mentoring and delivering an outstanding student experience.
- Confidence using digital technologies, including Microsoft Office applications, email and Learning Management Systems.
- Current practical industry experience within the electrical sector that enables you to bring real-world knowledge into the classroom.

Qualifications
Essential to this role:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or equivalent
- Qualified ‘A’ Grade Electrician with significant experience

Would be desirable:

- Solar Accreditation or Qualifications and or Experience
- Data Communications Qualifications and or Experience
- Diploma in VET / Adult Education
