Brisbane CBD IT Auditor opportunity focused on ITGC, technology risk and controls assurance. $75-$85 per hour

Your new company

Join an established organisation with a strong focus on governance, assurance and continuous improvement. You'll work as part of a cooperative technology audit team, supporting assurance activities across IT controls, information security and technology risk.

This is an initial 6 month initial contract with view to extend and is based in Brisbane CBD, working 36.25 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements available.

Your new role

As an IT Auditor, you'll support the delivery of technology audits and assurance activities, with a particular focus on IT General Controls (ITGCs), technology risk and internal controls.

You'll take ownership of day-to-day audit activities, working with stakeholders to understand technology environments, assess the effectiveness of controls and identify areas for improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering IT audits and technology assurance activities from planning through to reporting
- Assessing ITGCs and other technology and information security controls
- Conducting controls testing and maintaining clear, accurate audit working papers
- Identifying control gaps, audit observations and areas of technology risk
- Developing practical findings and recommendations for stakeholders
- Preparing clear audit reports and presentations
- Supporting audit scoping, planning and delivery




- Reviewing work and contributing to consistent audit quality and methodology
- Building effective relationships with technology, risk and business stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

You'll bring hands-on experience across IT audit, technology risk or technology assurance, ideally within a consulting, internal audit or regulated enterprise environment.

You'll also bring:

- Demonstrated experience delivering IT audits or IT controls assurance
- Strong knowledge of ITGCs, controls testing and audit methodologies
- Experience documenting audit findings, observations and recommendations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence communicating audit outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong written communication and report writing capability
- A relevant tertiary qualification in areas such as information technology, business, commerce or accounting
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CA or CPA will be highly regarded, as will experience undertaking internal controls assurance engagements.
