About the Opportunity

Stawell Gold Mines are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our underground mining operation in Stawell, Victoria. This is a residential, full time position offering stability, career progression and a strong team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

- Conducting routine metallurgical test work
- Preparing geological and metallurgical samples
- Performing routine assaying tasks
- Participating in site safety systems
- Supporting broader laboratory operations as needed
- Maintaining health, safety and environmental standards

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Experience in a mine laboratory or similar is desirable but not essential
- A current Victorian Driver’s License (mandatory)
- Robust verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

Desirable qualifications (not essential):

- Forklift License
- First Aid Certificate
