About the role

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Admin Assistant and Bookkeeper to provide comprehensive support to the team while managing financial records and bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of office administration and bookkeeping with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism for multiple companies running under SIR Australia Pty Ltd.

Key responsibilities

- Provide administrative support to executives, including scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements

- Manage correspondence, including phone calls, emails, and other communications

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, presentations, and documents to help the leadership team in their decision making

- Organize and maintain executive files, both digital and physical

- Serve as the primary point of contact between the executive team and internal/external stakeholders

- Assist with personal tasks for executives, as required

- Manage daily accounting functions, including processing invoices, receipts, and payments

- Record financial transactions and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy

- Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations

About you





- Bookkeeping experience with knowledge of accounting software (e.g., MYOB and Xero) preferred

- Graduate accountant or student visa holder with accounting degree

- Sponsorship available for the right candidate

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity

- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax filing regulations

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- A proactive approach with a strong problem-solving mindset

- Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience) preferred
