We are the Incident Response and Maintenance (IR&M;) provider for Transurban's Sydney Southern Network spanning more than 33km of interconnected motorways and tunnels including the M4, M5, M8, M4-M8 Link and Rozelle Interchange. This will be expanded to include the Cross City Tunnel, Eastern Distributor and M5 Southwest.

We are looking for Incident Response Drivers to join our team, roles are available immediately and will complement a dynamic group of people with training provided on a major infrastructure project.

Overall responsibility in the role will be as initial response to incidents to assist motorists or provide coverage as directed by the Motorway Control Centre to ensure the motorways remain safe for operation.

Working on a 24/7 project, this role has a rotating roster that includes work on days, nights, weekends and the occasional public holiday.



It does require a minimum MR Licence with 5 years good driving history and ability to obtain a Tow Truck Licence if not already held.

With customer focus at the forefront of these roles, successful candidates will be involved in:

- providing coverage and minor maintenance assistance to motorists;

- operating recovery vehicles as necessary to remove accident-damaged or disabled vehicles;

- operation of equipment including response vehicles, attenuator trucks and tow trucks;

- assisting members of the public affected by incidents, including the provision of first aid and firefighting when it is safe to do so;

- coordination with on-site emergency services personnel;

- providing transparent, concise reports during and following incidents;

- implementing traffic control measures as required for maintenance activities or as a consequence of motorway incidents;

- cleaning up after accidents, incidents and spills;

- removing obstacles and debris from the Motorway to ensure an ongoing secure passage for members of public;

- reporting incidents and malfunctioning equipment.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

- Previous Traffic Control & Incidence Response experience highly desirable

- Unrestricted driver licence (MR) with preferred minimum of 5 years held, along with evidence of good driving record required (plus demerit points);





- White card;

- First aid certification;

- NSW tow truck driver licence to be obtained within first 2 weeks of commencement - assistance will be provided but must have satisfactory police checks.

- Driving Traffic Mounted Attenuator experience &/or training

All positions will need to:

- Participate in daily pre-starts, monthly toolbox meetings & risk assessments

- Complete time and attendance records

- Ensure that safe work practices are observed at all time

- Have a thorough understanding and commitment to occupational health safety and environmental requirements.
