The Nitty Gritty

The Health and Safety Superintendent provides leadership and governance of Tritton’s health and safety systems across Tritton Operations. You’ll mentor and train others in the Health and Safety team and provide guidance to the entire site on correct safety procedures, risk management, and compliance protocols.

In this key role, you will be accountable for supporting compliance with NSW work health and safety and mining legislation, maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the Safety Management System, and providing independent assurance that health and safety risks are understood and controlled.

Partnering with operational leadership, you will embed risk-based decision making, strengthen critical control management and drive measurable improvement in health and safety performance.

What you Bring:

- Demonstrated experience in senior mining health and safety leadership, preferably in an underground or complex multi-site operation.
- Strong working knowledge of NSW WHS and mining legislation, statutory reporting obligations and safety management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in risk management, critical control assurance, audits and regulatory engagement.
- Proven capability to lead significant incident investigations and convert findings into sustainable operational improvements.
- Strong analytical and communication capability,



with the ability to clearly explain health and safety risk to frontline and senior leaders.
- Relevant tertiary or vocational qualification in Work Health and Safety (Certificate IV or higher).

Tritton Operations

Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central Recent South Wales. Commencing production in 2005, Tritton is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and forms the cornerstone of our copper production.

Tritton mines from multiple sources and as we look to bring more mines into production, we are are transitioning to a ‘hub-and-spoke’ model where ore is transported to our centralised mill for processing.
