HC Driver / Crane Operator – Salisbury

Current HC, CV and LF licences and a White Card are essential.

Timco Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced, reliable driver to deliver roof and floor trusses, timber and building materials from our Salisbury yard to building sites.

You will be our main HC driver, but the job also involves driving trucks in our HR and LR fleet. Crane unloading is a regular part of the role, whichever truck you are driving. Deliveries can involve tight access, limited parking and busy building sites, so we need someone who can assess the site, position the truck safely and complete each unload with care.

What you’ll do

- Deliver and unload trusses, timber and building materials using a vehicle loading crane.

- Safely plan loads, secure materials and check deliveries against dockets.

- Work with builders and site personnel to arrange a safe unloading position.

- Assist with loading, unloading and yard work between deliveries.

- Keep vehicles, equipment and delivery paperwork in good order.

What we need from you

- A current HC driver’s licence, CV vehicle loading crane licence, LF forklift licence and White Card.

- Proven experience driving heavy vehicles and operating a crane on building sites.





- Sound judgement in tight spaces and the confidence to stop and reassess when a delivery cannot be completed safely.

- A dependable work ethic, a can-do attitude and the ability to get along with customers and the yard team.

This role suits someone who takes responsibility, communicates well and does the job properly every time. If you only want to drive the HC truck, or you are unwilling to help across the fleet and yard, this is not the role for you.

The position will start on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move to permanent employment within 12 months, or sooner by agreement.
