About the role

ProBall is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Basketball Coach to join our coaching team in the Eastern Suburbs and/or Inner West. We are also launching new training venues soon and will need more coaches on weekday afternoons.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about player development, teamwork, and creating a positive basketball environment.

What you'll be doing

- Delivering high-quality basketball coaching sessions to players of all skill levels

- Coaching and mentoring players across all age groups within our junior basketball programme

- Designing and implementing age-appropriate training programmes to improve players' technical, tactical and physical abilities

- Monitoring player progress and providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential

- Fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and skill development

- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all players during training and matches

- Collaborating with the broader coaching team to share best practices and support the overall success of the programme

What we're looking for

- Past experience coaching basketball at a youth or community level is extremely desirable.



New coaches with significant playing experience may also be considered

- Robust knowledge of basketball techniques, tactics and training methods

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young players

- A passion for player development and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment

- A current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one
