Our flagship North Ryde hospital is seeking ECC Nurses who will be essential in providing care to our patients from emergency admission through to discharge.
You will work in a state-of-the-art hospital providing veterinary excellence, with the support of an experience emergency team.

We’re offering full time and casual opportunities, with a variety of shifts available including weekends and overnights to support our 24/7 ECC department.
What your day-to-day looks like:

- Assist with and/or perform advanced interventions such as placement of central, PICC and arterial lines, direct arterial pressure monitoring, urinary catheter placement, feeding tube placement, high flow nasal oxygen provision, and mechanical ventilation
- Participate in CPR resuscitation efforts
- Assist with admissions and discharges from the ICU
- Conduct and collect various laboratory samples for internal and external analysis
- Assist with transfer to and reception of critical care referrals from general practice veterinarians
- Support the emergency department with triage and procedural responsibilities
- Assist with critical care anaesthesia, including TIVA,



in collaboration with anaesthetists within the SASH network

To be considered for this position, applicants will demonstrate:

- Completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- A minimum of 2 years, full-time experience as a qualified nurse
- Flexibility to work across various shifts, including overnights and weekends
- A keen interest in Emergency work and a desire to work closely with our patients throughout their inpatient journey.
- Previous experience in emergency would be highly regarded but is not essential.
