The ABC is looking for two experienced Collections Project Officers to support a range of collection management activities, from registration, appraisal and classification through to cataloguing and preparing materials and inventory for transfer or disposal.

The Role

- Handle day-to-day registration, appraisal and classification of collection materials, applying selection decisions in line with records authorities and ABC policy.
- Keep projects on track, working to agreed schedules, milestones and quality benchmarks.
- Flag issues, dependencies or resource gaps early, keeping stakeholders informed along the way.
- Support internal stakeholders to prepare records and audiovisual material ready for transfer or disposal.
- Keep the collection management systems accurate and up to date.

About You

You know your way around an archive, and you're just as comfortable adapting to a shifting workload as you are applying the finer points of records management.

You will also have:

- Qualifications or equivalent experience in library, archives or records management.
- Knowledge of archival principles,



applied confidently across a range of formats and record types including paper documents and still photographs.
- Familiarity with records management systems and sound records management practices.
- Accomplished interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- A problem-solver who adapts well to shifting priorities and workflows while still hitting deadlines.
- Willingness and physical capacity to undertake manual handling tasks as part of the role.
