About the role

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Educator to join our team at Pambula Village Preschool on a part-time or Full time basis. Based in Pambula, NSW 2549, this role is integral to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care to children in our preschool setting. As an Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a secure, supportive and developmentally appropriate environment where children can learn, play and grow. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to implement educational programs that support each child's individual needs and interests.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, implement and evaluate play-based learning experiences that promote children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development

- Provide direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and comfort throughout the day

- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, fostering open communication and mutual respect

- Observe and document children's learning and development, using this information to inform future programming

- Support children's transitions between activities and routines, helping them develop independence and self-regulation skills

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery

- Collaborate with the preschool team to plan and deliver special events, excursions and celebrations





- Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, experiences and developmental milestones

- Follow all preschool policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety and child protection

- Contribute to a positive team culture and support professional development within the service

What we're looking for

- A valid early childhood education qualification (such as Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent)

- Or Certificate lll in Early Childhood Education and Care

- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)

- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain and maintain)

- Strong understanding of play-based learning approaches and early childhood development principles

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Patience, creativity and a genuine passion for working with young children

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within qualified ethical boundaries

- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced early learning environment

- Experience in early childhood education or childcare settings is highly valued
