ASD, ADHD & Neurodevelopmental Support

Pay: $35-$45 per hour + KM allowance + paid travel time

We support Autistic and neurodivergent teenagers to build confidence, independence, social connection, and everyday life skills.

We’re looking for calm, reliable, and down-to-earth Support Workers who understand Autism and genuinely enjoy connecting with young people.

This role may be a great fit if you have experience supporting Autistic young people, lived experience of neurodivergence, or you’re studying psychology, teaching, occupational therapy, social work, youth work, counselling, allied health, or community services.

The Role

You’ll work one-on-one with Autistic and neurodivergent teens, building a consistent relationship around their individual goals, strengths, and interests.

Support may include:

- Community outings and activities

- Building confidence and independence

- Social connection and communication

- Routines, planning, and everyday life skills

- Emotional regulation and co-regulation

- Exploring hobbies and interests

- Mentoring and positive role modelling

Sometimes the most valuable part of the role is simply being someone a young person trusts and enjoys spending time with.

Shifts

Most support takes place outside school hours:

- After-school shifts

- Weekday afternoons

- Weekends





- Regular ongoing participant matches

We match workers and participants based on personality, interests, location, availability, and experience.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You

- Have experience with Autism / ASD or neurodivergence

- Have lived experience of neurodivergence

- Are studying a relevant field

- Are calm, patient, and reliable

- Naturally connect with teenagers

- Are good at building rapport

- Respect different communication styles and sensory needs

- Can provide structure without being controlling

Lived experience is welcomed and valued, but not required.

Requirements

- First Aid & CPR

- Working with Children Check

- National Police Check

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module

- Full Driver’s Licence

- Reliable, insured vehicle

- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
