The Prospect

At Doutta Galla, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced and proactive People & Culture Business Partner to join our People & Culture team and play a key role in supporting leaders, strengthening workplace culture, and delivering strategic people initiatives across the organisation.

Reporting to the General Manager People & Culture, this role is an excellent opportunity for a HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, navigating complex employee relations matters, influencing organisational outcomes, and contributing to business success in a values-driven environment.

The role is currently based in Footscray,



with an upcoming move to our newly renovated corporate office in West Melbourne, conveniently located within walking distance of North Melbourne Station.

About the Role

As a trusted advisor to leaders across the organisation, you will provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, organisational change, workforce planning, leadership capability, and industrial relations matters.

Working closely with operational leaders and the broader People & Culture team, you will help implement people strategies and initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, capability, performance and culture while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, enterprise agreements and workplace obligations.

This is a hands-on business partnering role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

- Partner with leaders to provide trusted advice and practical solutions on people-related matters.
- Support workforce planning, organisational design and change initiatives.
- Analyse people data and provide insights that support informed decision-making.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

- Provide specialist advice on performance management, disciplinary processes, workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
- Support leaders in managing complex employee relations matters in accordance with legislation, enterprise agreements and organisational policies.
- Promote consistent,



fair and compliant people practices across the organisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or People & Culture Business Partner role.
- Experience in understanding and interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements, specifically the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS)
- Proven experience managing workplace investigations, grievances, performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Highly developed stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- The ability to provide pragmatic advice in a regulated environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Management or a related discipline.
