What You'll Do

As the QA/QC Welding Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring all welding and fabrication activities meet project specifications, quality standards, client requirements, and applicable codes and standards. You will:

- Coordinate and oversee QA/QC activities across welding and fabrication operations.
- Review and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQR).
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with project requirements, codes, standards, and quality management systems.
- Ensure welding activities are completed in accordance with approved procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs).
- Coordinate non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and review inspection reports.
- Monitor quality performance, identify non-conformances, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Liaise with project teams, clients, third-party inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are achieved.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, records, and quality dossiers for project handover.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and compliance outcomes.




- Promote a strong safety and quality culture across all project activities.

What You'll Bring

We are seeking a detail-oriented quality professional with a strong background in welding inspection and quality assurance. You will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in a QA/QC, Welding Inspector, or Quality Coordinator role within fabrication, construction, mining, energy, or heavy industry environments.
- Sound knowledge of welding processes, inspection techniques, and relevant Australian and international welding standards.
- Experience reviewing and managing welding documentation including WPSs, PQRs, WQRs, ITPs, and MDRs.
- Familiarity with NDT methods and welding quality requirements.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
- Relevant qualifications in Welding Inspection, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certifications such as CSWIP, WTIA, IIW, AS1796, or equivalent will be highly regarded.
- Work on challenging and high-profile projects and be part of a collaborative and safety-focused team.

Ideally, you will be degree qualified or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
