About the Position

- 8/6 roster, working 12-hour rotating day and night shifts

- Lead and supervise the onsite tyre service team while acting as the key point of contact in the absence of the Site Team Leader

- Manage the day-to-day operational relationship with the client and ensure contractual requirements and KPIs are achieved

- Prioritise and coordinate daily work activities to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective operations

- Perform all aspects of LV, HV and OTR tyre fitting and workshop maintenance as required

- Maintain accurate tyre maintenance data and ensure timely entry into the Computerized Tyre Maintenance Management System (CTMMS)

- Ensure tyre inspections, pressure checks, tread depth measurements and site inspections are completed in accordance with site requirements





- Oversee stock control of tyres, rims, rim components and workshop consumables

- Conduct safety inspections and equipment audits, and ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable condition

- Investigate hazards, unsafe work conditions and incidents, taking appropriate action to eliminate or reduce risk

- Facilitate toolbox meetings, safety briefings, inspections and operational updates

- Ensure all team members comply with Kal Tire and site-specific safety policies, procedures and lock out/tag out requirements

- Support the induction and ongoing development of team members, ensuring licences, medicals, inductions and competencies remain current

- Mentor and support team members while promoting Kal Tire's Journey to Zero philosophy

- Assist with customer meetings and presentations, providing tyre-related performance and operational information as required

This is a full-time, permanent position based at George Fisher Mine, with paid flights from Brisbane or Townsville.

About You

- Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing, with OTR Tyre Maintenance Competencies

- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in heavy earthmover tyre fitting

- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a mining or heavy industry environment

- Heavy vehicle driver's licence

- Current HRWL/LF licence is advantageous

- Moderate computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and maintenance management systems

- Strong safety focus with sound knowledge of OHS practices and procedures

- Good understanding of tyre fitting procedures, equipment and workshop maintenance
