The Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of Current South Wales (P&C; Federation NSW) is the peak representative body for P&C; Associations across NSW public schools. For more than a century, the Federation has championed quality public education, supported local school communities, and advocated for the interests of parents, carers and students across the state.

We are seeking an exceptional and strategically focused Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth, influence and member engagement. Reporting directly to the Board, the CEO will drive organisational performance, strengthen advocacy outcomes, enhance member services, and ensure the Federation remains a trusted and influential voice within the education sector.

About the Role

As CEO, you will:

- Lead the strategic direction and operational performance of the organisation.

- Partner closely with the Board and President to deliver the Federation's vision and priorities.

- Drive advocacy initiatives and stakeholder engagement across government, education authorities and the broader community.

- Ensure strong governance, financial sustainability and organisational effectiveness.

- Lead and develop a capable, high-performing team and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

- Represent the Federation publicly and build strong relationships across the education sector and wider community.

What You'll Bring

You are an accomplished executive leader with a proven ability to deliver results in complex stakeholder environments.





Your background will include:

- Significant senior executive leadership experience within a not-for-profit, membership, education, government, public sector or similarly complex organisation.

- Demonstrated success in strategy execution, organisational leadership and change management.

- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, risk management and governance oversight.

- Experience working effectively with Boards and supporting sound governance practices.

- Outstanding stakeholder engagement, advocacy, government relations and influencing skills.

- Experience building high-performing teams and leading organisational culture.

- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, media engagement and executive-level reporting.

- High levels of integrity, judgement, political awareness and professionalism.
